Rugby Sevens
Rugby sevens is a fast-paced, action-packed sport. It’s a short version of rugby, with seven players per side It’s an exciting game, and the spectators usually make a festival of it.
Because of the short format, a number of teams can play each day in the tournament, adding to the excitement of the impatient spectators.
The results are practically instantaneous.

Neuchatel Sevens
The first Neuchâtel Sevens tournament was held on May 18th 1975; since then it has been organised organised every year without any interruption.
Therefore the Neuchâtel Sevens is the oldest seven-a-side tournament played on continental Europe.
Teams from all over Europe meet each year in Neuchâtel to share great moments of rugby, firendship, party and non-sense. Big names have visited us like The London Harlequins, Oxford University Rugby Football Club, Susie’s Saloon from Amsterdam with their share of international players like Simon Shaw (England, B&I Lions), Peter Winterbottom (England), Will Carling (England), Grant Fox (N-Z), David Strettle (England), James Haskell (England), Andy Mower (England), Nick Farr-Jones (Australia).
The mix of high level and amateur club, bar and folkloric teams from UK, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland and of course Switzerland gives this typical sypathetic blend to Neuchâtel Sevens.
